A Girl’s Story

21 Jun

A girl was lost
Suffered in cold
Crying to hold

A man walked into her life
Showing the way and lighten the fire
He stayed and cared
He held and embraced

Years she’d hoped
Miles she’d run
Reaching and praying
For one dream to real

He ran and never came back
He left and never turned back
There gone her heart
There gone her life

A second she hoped
Time stopped
Air froze

A moment she begged
Trading life for dreams
World for him

She hesitated and cried
Crushed and broken
Gasping her way to breath
Reaching her life aimlessly

Poor girl has died
Losing her soul over love
Her hope over passion

Poor girl never stood up
Chose to give in
And rest in vain

Poor girl had a dream
She slept and never woke up
